New Indoor and Hydrotherapy Pools and Spa works underway, Wet Changing Rooms upgrade, Member Services transformation & Kings Going Green

We are delighted to inform you that our new indoor and hydrotherapy pools and spa works are now underway.

Please be advised that during the pool and spa refurbishment works we will also be taking the opportunity to refurbish and upgrade the wet changing rooms with new shower facilities. As a result, please note that with effect from COB Sunday 14th September 2024 both the Male & Female Wet Changing Rooms will be closed until further notice.

Our Male & Female Dry Changing Rooms will be open and available for use as normal, including by those using the Outdoor Pool for the remaining short period it is available in 2024. Our Disabled Changing Room toilet and wash hand basin (cold water only) will also remain open and available for use. The shower will not be available for use.

We will keep you all updated on the progress being made over the coming months and can't wait to show you all the new facilities when ready.

Member Services Transformation
In addition, we're also in the process of transforming our Member Services area so that the whole core team are relocated to one central part of the Club. Works will involve considerable improvements to the area and the installation of brand new access and exit gates. The relocation will also enable increased staff accessibility for members as you come and go each day. We'll also have more of the team on hand to help answer any questions or queries you may.

Kings' Going Green
We are also announcing an exciting major investment programme for Kings Going Green with works being undertaken whilst we are doing the pool and spa works.

We have already replaced the propane gas cookers in the kitchen with induction cooking and are now installing high technology air sourced hot water heating throughout the Club and taking out all the existing oil boilers. Kings will no longer be using fossil fuels and become much more environmentally friendly. In addition, improved insulation, building management control and are systems are being installed to lower our energy consumption. We have plans for significant roof solar PV generation above the indoor pool and studio 3 and 4.
