Review of the Year

28 December 2018

As 2018 draws to a close, we wanted to drop you a quick message to thank you for your continuing loyalty and support, and to recap on some of the initiatives we have introduced over the past year.

PRICE FREEZE
In September, we announced that our membership rates will remain the same throughout 2019.  This means you can continue to enjoy everything the Club has to offer for the next 12 months with a guarantee from us to you that there will be no increase in the price of your membership.

INCREASED CLASS OFFERING
We have increased our FREE class offering to members this year, meaning there is now more than 100 classes per week for you to choose from.   New additions include the popular half-hour HIIT Synrgy circuit classes in the gym 6 days a week, and Zumba, which is getting a fast reputation for being the feel-good class that promises a heavy dose of fun, as well as an effective all-body workout.

PERSONALISED GYM PROGRAMMES
Many of our members have seen renewed success within their gym training after signing up to a personalised gym programme package add-on.   This new initiative launched earlier this year, and means that for just £25 per month, you can receive a bespoke training programme, a one-to-one session to go through the programme each month and ongoing monitoring and review of your progress against your goals using our KBT machine.

MYZONE
Last month we introduced Myzone to the Club, and more than 150 members have told us that the heart rate monitor  has revolutionised their training, providing a detailed breakdown and analysis of each session to track progress.  It's also introduced a healthy dose of competition between some members!  Demo belts continue to be available in classes and in the gym, so why not give it a go?  We will be running Myzone club challenges throughout 2019, with some great prizes up for grabs!

PERSONAL TRAINING SUCCESS
A number of members were quick to take up our first-ever Black Friday offer of 25% off Personal Training packages.  This was a limited-time, members-only offer, advertised via our social media pages.  Personal Training continues to go from strength-to-strength with more than 3500 sessions delivered over the past year

Elsewhere, we have enjoyed supporting a number of charitable initiatives throughout the year, including the Crimestoppers RunwayRun and Children in Need.  Our Born to Move team were featured on ITV Channel as part of their Active Autumn series and we saw a lot of love for our Pride-themed BodyAttack class too!

We also saw an incredible effort from one of our Personal Trainers, Glen Knudsen who realised his dream of swimming the English Channel, raising £2,336 for Hope for Guernsey in the process.

It's been quite a year, and we have plenty more in store for 2019!
